Dig to Deck
Dig to deck — pool and patio from one family
Most pool builders subcontract the concrete, and you pay their markup on someone else's work. Our sister company Kinetic Pools installs the fiberglass shell and Keen pours the deck — same family, one schedule, one set of people to call.
Why homeowners pick Keen for this
No middleman markup
The deck is not subcontracted out and marked up. It is our own crew, quoted as part of the same project.
Weeks, not months
A fiberglass shell drops in and gets set in about a day. Gunite pools spend months curing and tiling before anyone can swim.
The deck is designed with the pool
Coping, drainage, splash-out and the shape of the deck get worked out before the hole is dug rather than after.
One warranty conversation
The shell carries its manufacturer warranty and Keen warrants the deck workmanship directly to you, in writing, as part of the same package.
Our sister company
Kinetic Pools is our sister company — same family, same phone habits, same refusal to nickel-and-dime a homeowner. They set the fiberglass shell; we pour everything you walk on around it.
Kinetic Pools: “We give true all-inclusive pricing.” Kinetic quotes the pool all-inclusive; Keen quotes the deck at one fixed price. Two written numbers, one project, nobody marking up the other's work.

Waterfalls, boulders and rock coping
Want more than a flat waterline? Kinetic Pools installs RicoRock modular waterfalls, boulders, grottos and rock coping — cast rockwork molded from real stone formations, designed into the pool before the deck goes in. It's a Kinetic product and a Kinetic quote; ask them about adding it to your build, and Keen finishes the deck around it the same way we do every pool.

01
Design the whole yard
Shell model, deck shape, where the equipment goes and how you will actually use the space.
02
Dig and set the shell
Kinetic excavates, sets the fiberglass shell, plumbs it and backfills — usually within days, not weeks.
03
Inspections and equipment
Plumbing and electrical inspected, equipment set and the pool started up.
04
Pour the deck
Keen forms and pours the deck around the finished shell: knockdown texture, stamped or stained.
05
Seal and swim
Deck sealed, site cleaned, water balanced. Done.
What you pay, and when
One honest, fixed price, itemized in writing before we start. Half at signing and half at completion — no progress-payment ladder, no change-order surprises unless you ask us to change something. Keen work carries a one-year workmanship warranty; cracking, color variation and efflorescence are inherent to concrete and are excluded, and we say that up front rather than in the fine print.

Straight answers, before you call.
Do I have to buy the pool and the deck together?
No. Plenty of customers have Kinetic set a shell and Keen deck it, and plenty have us deck a pool somebody else installed years ago. Doing both together is simply cheaper and faster.
How long does the whole thing take?
A fiberglass pool with a deck is a weeks-long project rather than a months-long one, because the shell arrives finished. Weather, inspections and utility locates set the real calendar, and we give you dates as we go.
Why fiberglass instead of gunite?
It goes in faster, the surface is smooth and easy on feet, and there is no interior finish to re-do down the road. Gunite wins on fully custom shapes — if that is what you need, we will say so.
